For pakoras, mix onion with remaining gram flour, ajwain, chili powder, and just enough water to bind. Fry spoonfuls until golden; drain.

Simmer the yogurt mixture in a pot, stirring constantly until it comes to a boil, then cook 20 minutes on low heat.
