- 1kg beef chuck, cubed
- 3 carrots, sliced
- 2 potatoes, cubed
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 celery stalks
- 500ml beef stock
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 bay leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste

Season beef with salt and pepper, then brown in batches in a hot pot.
